Rachael Cassar’s Collection Walks the Studio NEON Runway

When the lovely and talented fashion designer Rachael Cassar came to us searching for the perfect location to show her collection on the runway, we were thrilled to offer up Studio NEON.

The prospect of a runway in our studio may have seemed a challenge to the untrained eye - but with a little elbow grease and a whole lot of ambition we were able to pull it off!

Please enjoy some shots from the specatcular show below:

From the Designer:
‘I first started being interested in eco fashion without really knowing what eco fashion was. As a child and teenager, I was obsessed with making something new out of anything I found. Initially my interest was jewellery. I used to search for second hand jewellery items, dismantled them and made new items up to my on design. I then started doing the same thing with clothes -finding second hand clothes and changing them in various ways. By my mid teens, my path was set. Fashion design was my goal. I studied Fashion and Textile Design at the University of Technology Sydney and graduated in 2006. In my final year I used the concept of deconstruction in my Final Collections and have adhered to this since then. Deconstruction is the concept of sourcing second hand materials and using them in my designs.’

XBOX Launch Fear in STUDIO NEON

It’s your first day on the job as an elite operative of the First Encounter Assault Recon team, and things are about to go very, very bad!

X-Box recently used studio NEON as the launch pad for new video game ‘Fear’. The set-up included interactive stations where reviewers could test the game out as well as enjoy a few drinks!

Matt Lee, photographer at Studio Neon, developed the concept of a stop motion movie using stills from his last shoot with The Other Side denim company. The concept can be utilised as an online viral and for such purposes as web promotion, media for launches and shows as well as use in media kits.

The Other Side Denim

Studio Neon recently had the pleasure of playing host to the look-book shoot for up and coming fashion label ‘The Other Side’.

The whole range is reversible clothing and the photoshoot plays with the concepts of light and dark.

The shoot was for the launch of the brand’s look book and the crew were very excited to be working with the brilliantly talented Kassandra, on set as designer.

The shoot was conducted by resident photographer Matt Lee. Some of his favourite images are featured below:

Bobbi Brown, a well established leader in the world of cosmetics, has recently used the setting of Studio Neon to launch their new ‘Pretty Powerful’ campaign.

Around 60 guests were present at the launch and enjoyed an engaging presentation, a delicious 3 course meal and a good old fashioned chat with their industry equals.

Congrats to Eamon Sullivan!

The studio NEON team wish Eamon Sullivan a massive CONGRATULATIONS after his victory on Wednesday night as Australia’s first ever Celebrity Masterchef!

Matt Lee, the resident studio NEON photographer had the pleasure of shooting Eamon last year prior to his appearance in the Beijing Olympic Games. Below is one of his favourite images from the shoot.

Movember Charity Poker Night

studio NEON played host to a very worthwhile event last night - a pokernight to raise money for the ever popular charity Movember. Finchee (as he is known to his friends) organised the shennanigans complete with drinks and a complimentary marker moustache for those who had forgotten to bring a real one! Please check out their mo-gallery below. A lot of hard work has gone into this facial hair so we thought we’d give it due recognition!

If you’d like to learn more about Movember, or better yet, donate to the cause, please visit the official website here.

To date, Movember has raised AUS$60 million globally for the fight against prostate cancer and depression in men. And, more importantly, as a direct result, male awareness of health issues has improved with Movember helping to spread health messages directly to millions of Mo Bros & Sistas around the world.

Studio NEON builds an Indoor Water Playground for ROC EYEWEAR shoot

We got extremely creative for this shoot - not to mention sweaty from having to up the temperature to around 30 degrees to ensure the comfort of the models who had to role around in water all day!

All the fuss, however, was completely worth it as the results were just amazing. Check out some of the shots, by photographer Matt Lee, below:

Masterchef host Sarah Wilson dines at Studio NEON

Studio NEON were thrilled to have Masterchef Host Sarah Wilson attend for a recent private dinner function.

With the success of Masterchef continually growing and bringing gourmet into the home of the regular Australian, we were excited to put our food to the test.

We’re also pleased to report that we passed with flying colours!
